How I Nailed It



Some of my friends are into nail art and for IFB Project #64: Be Origi-nail with Stoli, I decided to venture into a semi-DIY project. To my surprise, it was fun and I was amazed by how a $9 box of Sally Hansen Laced Up polish strips could look this elegant! Durability-wise, I wonder how long it would last.



I work hard and do a lot with my hands. A regular manicure would only last me 3…5 days tops. Then the polish starts to peel off, and of course, I couldn’t stop my self from picking on it.

So when I get nail care once in a blue moon, I go for an elaborate spa mani with exfoliation treatment, hand masque, hydrating massage and always with gel polish of my personally designed “Sheila’s Tuxedo French” – a combination of Black Onyx with White French Tips and Iridescent Glitter faded in.

It is conference room friendly and chic for evening cocktails. I get compliments all the time!

However, more than a manicure, I’d still rather sit in a leather massager recliner to get my Mio Dolce Chocolate Pedicure from no other than Dolce Salon and Spa in Scottsdale Borgata. Imagine a sweet blend of aroma from the cocoa foot dip, coffee grounds scrub and mocha body polish. If it only comes with a delicious Godiva Chocolate Martini =)

    Found you through the IFB post, my ombre nails are there too.
    The mocha pedi you described sounds divine! Definitely would need an espresso martini or something to go with that. I like your "tuxedo french" too, just may have to get that next time I go to a salon for a mani.

    Love these nails! I just came across a cheaper version of the salon effects a few days ago. I did a quick review of them, but overall I was super excited at how well they work!

      Do share what the alternative e u found! I must admit though, this Salon Effects has lasted longer than I expected. I think the busy design helps hide the chipping!
