I do not usually blog about food, but tonight is an
exception. What started to be a chore, ended up in a nice date adventure.
My hubby and I went to our afternoon appointment for the
inevitable tax filing… and paying, ugh! Not my favorite thing to do, but the motivation is a restaurant suggested by our friend, the Coronado Café, almost
caddy corner from our accountant’s office.
The place was a little slice of heaven… a quaint house
converted into a small café, simple inside with splash of colors hanging on
canvas in almost every wall, without overpowering the elegant mood. I literally
walked around inside like a museum (well almost, except for a drink in my
hand). All paintings are creations
of Jim Falanagan, a local visual artist, and they are available for sale.
Visiting for the first time, which will definitely not be my last, I discover that Coronado Café has been around for more than 10 years. Now I know where I will have my next party. Their happy hour pricing is very reasonable, have excellent service and oh so sumptuous food! My recommendations are Brie & Lavash and Crab Cake appetizers. Nomnomnom =)
Love the art!
